 Verse of the Day

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9, ESV)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program of National College of Science and Technology (NCST) aims to prepare students for the Licensure Examinations for Certified Public Accountants and Certified Accounting Technicians.

Intensive training is provided to enable students to become globally competitive and responsive to the challenges and demands of our globalizing economy. Alongside core courses in Finance and accounting theories and practices, students are provided a comprehensive curriculum designed to make them multi-disciplined and conversant with concepts in related sciences and fields. The idea is to turn them less into numerical robots and more into business advisors who are well-rounded and responsible professionals, who uphold the ethics and the principles of transparency and accountability.

Technical skills in the following aspects will be developed: mental organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, business and corporate communication and information technology (IT) skills, a sense of responsibility in decision making, self-motivating techniques, objective thinking, and professionalism.

Built into the programs is the practicum course which provides an exposure to the business world that enables students to simulate the working environment, gain insights into work standards and current practices in the Philippine setting, and apply the theories learned in college.
