B.S. Computer Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering deals with the study of the hardware part of any computer system that focuses mainly on microprocessor, computer architecture, I/O devices, buses, memory and its troubleshooting. It also deals with the software counterpart of the system like the study of the high-level programming languages, machine languages, operating systems, VHDL, Linux, Cisco, and Oracle among others.
The program aims to produce competent and responsible Computer Engineers ethically committed in the design and implementation of computer technology geared towards national development.
| SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES |
The program specifically aims for students:
* to acquire knowledge in mathematics, physical and engineering sciences sufficient in depth and breadth to enable them to analyze and solve computer engineering problems;
* to carry out independently or with others, designs in hardware, software or their combination in order to prepare them for careers responsive to the changing technology;
* to develop an active program of growth and development necessary in transcending the changes in computing practice and technology; and
* to be prepared to concentrate in areas of interest that will allow them to contribute fully for the good of society.
